The purpose of the forum was to provide a platform for student representatives to freely discuss relevant topics, establish networks, and to share their feedback and recommendations regarding the Common Competencies of ASEAN General Dentists.  Delegates exchanged knowledge on current dental education in their respective countries and addressed challenges faced by dental students from each ASEAN country. Ultimately, the forum highlighted the importance of student engagement and its role towards the standardisation of dental education and facilitation of free movement of dental practitioners across ASEAN, as envisioned by the ASEAN Joint Coordinating Committee on Dental Practitioners (AJCCD).
