The team of visitors included Dr. ShabeerNellikode, Chief Executive Officer, Founder, and Managing Director, Specialist Neurologist, UniversalHospital; Professor Chandra Shekar, Director for Learning and Development, Universal Hospital; Mr. HanilSajad, Manager of Universal Hospital; and Syed Alwi Alkaff, acting Head of International Banking, UAE.They were accompanied by Mr. Dzulalimi Mutalib and Mr. Abdul Baasit Yahya, representatives from BankIslam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) and Ms. Andrea Shakirah Tay, Executive Officer at Brunei EconomicDevelopment Board (BEDB). The objective of the visit was to identify potential areas of collaboration andinvestment opportunities with/at PAPRSB IHS. The guests were given a tour of the simulation centre at PAPRSB IHS during the visit. Awg MuhammadKhairulamin bin Abdullah Sungkai, nursing lecturer at PAPRSB IHS and American Heart Association (AHA)Training Centre Coordinator (PAPRSB IHS is an international training centre for AHA-certified courses)led the tour to the trauma and medical simulation control room, where the simulation team teachesstudents across various health science programmes (undergraduate medicine, nursing, midwifery andpharmacy programmes from PAPRSB IHS as well as Diploma students undertaking nursing, midwifery andparamedic programs from School of Health Sciences, Politeknik Brunei). Awg Mursidi Hj Ali (nursinglecturer at PAPRSB IHS) facilitated the tour at the operating theatre nursing simulation. The visitorsproceeded to the paediatric simulation and maternity simulation centre led by Dk Noraffizah binti Pg HjSalleh (nursing lecturer at PAPRSB IHS), where students from midwifery and paramedic programmes aretaught to conduct normal and emergency childbirth or delivery. The tour concluded with a visit to theBasic Life Support classroom where the American Heart Association (AHA) certified training is conducted(PAPRSB IHS is an international training centre).  Dr. Shabeer and Professor Chandra Shekar alsoexchanged conversations with undergraduate medical students who shared about skills acquired throughthe simulation centre. Moving forward, Dr. Shabeer expresses interest in enhancing the operating theatresimulation centre at PAPRSB IHS by proposing a functional operating/surgical light and looks forward tocollaboration with UBD.
