6 Three IHS Lecturers Received NEBOSH Certification Three PAPRSB IHS lecturers (Dr Shahrima Hj Sharbini, Dr Khadizah Hj Abdul Mumin and Dr Anni Afiqah Hj Mohd Tuah) have recently passed and obtained the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC). This is a 2-week training course held at Megamas Training Company Sdn. Bhd. The company also kindly sponsored the full participation fees for all three lecturers. NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) was formed in 1979 and offered a comprehensive range of globally-recognised qualifications designed to meet the health, safety and environmental management needs of all places of work. NEBOSH is also an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified organisation. The NEBOSH IGC course provides skills and know-how to fulfill health and safety responsibilities in any country and in any kind of organisation. The course consists of both lectures, hands-on group work and discussions, as well as presentations. After the course, participants are assessed in the form of written exams and practical/report. Occupational health is an integral part to the Master in Public Health programme at IHS.
