A delegation of 9 guests from Thailand visitedthe PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences, UBD onthe 28th of February 2019. They includeddoctors and health professionals from BNHHospital, Bangkok (including a psychologist fromBrunei, Miss Nadzirah Abdullah) and 2 delegatesfrom the Srisavarindhira Thai Red CrossInstitute of Nursing (STIN): Assistant Prof. Dr.Duangkamol Wattradul (Director of NursingServices Centre) and Assistant Prof. Dr. SukumaTithiphontumrong (Assistant President forInternational Relations and Special Affairs).  They were warmly welcomed by Associate Prof.Dr. Anne Cunningham (Deputy Dean of Research,Graduate Studies and Global Affairs).The visitors from Thai Red Cross wereparticularly interested to make links withNursing programme, and BNH were interested tocollaborate on their lifestyle modificationprogramme: BOOCS (Brain-Oriented Oneself CareSystem / Brain-Oriented Obesity ControlSystem). 3 Visitors from the Thai RedCross and BNH hospital,Bangkok to PAPRSB IHS,UBDVisitors from the Universityof Glasgow to PAPRSB IHS,UBDProf. Sir Anton Muscatelli (Prinicipal and ViceChancellor of the University of Glasgow) paid avisit to the PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences,UBD on the 28th of February 2019, to deliver the2019 “President's Lecture”. Accompanying himwere Ms. Rachel Sandison (Vice Principal forInternationalisation) and Prof. Frank Coton, VicePrincipal (Academic and Educational Innovation).They were warmly welcomed by the Deputy Deansof PAPRSB IHS (Associate Prof. Dr. AnneCunningham and Dr. Zaw Wint). The faculty works closely with the University ofGlasgow as it is one of the partner Medical Schoolsand a future partner Dental School. To date, 29Bruneian medical students have gone on tocomplete their training in Glasgow Medical School.During their visit, they expressed their interest tofurther explore student and staff exchange, andenjoyed their visit to the simulation centre.
