Current Advancements in Immunoassay Testing: Snibe MAGLUMI X3

Overview

The session offers an educational overview of current advancements in immunoassay testing with particular emphasis on how modern laboratory technologies support routine clinical practice. Delivered in a presentation-based format, the session will explore the role of contemporary immunoassay platforms in improving workflow efficiency, analytical reliability and service delivery within clinical laboratories.

This technology spotlight will be led by a Snibe engineer alonside an expert representative from RTCT Diagnostics, who will provide real-world local perspectives through selected laboratory cases and datasets to contextualise current technologies within practice.

Session Focus

The featured platform for this session is the MAGLUMI X3 (MX3) analyser. It is a fully automated chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) analyser that utilises an ABEI-labelled magnetic separation system. With a throughput of up to 200 tests per hour and a compact design, the platform is well-suited to laboratories requiring scalable automation and consistent analytical performance.

Format

This technology spotlight is presentation-based with minimal operation of the instrument at venue. The emphasis will be on:

  • Expert-led explanation of platform technology
  • Demonstration of system capabilities
  • Case-based illustration using real laboratory data
  • Q&A engagement

Learning Value

Participants will gain insight into:

  • Current developments in immunoassay tehcnology
  • The role of automated  CLIA platforms in routine laboratory workflows
  • Practical considerations in assay performance, workflow optimisation and system integration
  • The broader impact of diagnostic innovation on laboratory efficiency and patient care

Who Should Attend

This session is suitable for:

  • Biomedical science and health science students
  • Laboratory professionals and clinical scientists
  • Academic staff and researchers
  • Individuals interested in clinical chemistry and diagnostic technologies

Disclaimer

The display, presentation and demonstration of any diagnostic platforms during the symposium does not constitute an endorsement of such platforms by Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
